‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Jasmine Pineda Has Two Young Sons in Panama: Custody Details

90 Day Fiancé star Jasmine Pineda has let TLC cameras follow her love story with Michigan-based automotive engineer Gino Palazzolo as they navigated a long-distance romance. Now that Jasmine has officially moved to the United States, the Panama native planned to move her two sons to Michigan to be with her.

Despite Jasmine and Gino narrowly making it down the aisle in June 2023, the pair hit another snag after they found it could take up to two years to bring her sons to the U.S.

How Many Kids Does Jasmine Pineda Have? 

Jasmine previously told viewers that she is a proud mom of two "beautiful baby boys," named Juance and JC and noted while they are no longer "babies, they always will remain her "babies."

"My eldest lives with my ex-husband and the youngest [usually] lives with me, but he has a special condition and during this pandemic, he was having a really hard time in the city with the lockdown so my mother and I made the decision to take him with her temporarily to the countryside," the literature instructor explained about their living setup in a solo confessional during season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2022.

Jasmine added, "I miss [my son] so much," before sharing that 2020 was a "very difficult" year for her aside from meeting Gino. "It felt so good, it was like therapy," she gushed of their budding romance. 

How Does Jasmine’s Ex Feel About Jasmine Moving Their Kids to America?

Jasmine’s eldest son, Juance, made his first television appearance during the premiere episode of season 10 of 90 Day Fiancé in October 2023, where she revealed she was officially moving to the United States. “The connection that I have with Juance, it’s out of this world,” she explained during the October 9, 2023, episode. “I’m a cool mom, so we love eating a good ice cream or junk food that he cannot eat with his dad and saying goodbye to that, it’s very tough for me.”

Jasmine also revealed that she and Gino agreed to bring over her two children to the United States “as soon as possible.” Her ex-husband was “OK” with the idea but she had yet to tell her son about her looming overseas move.

“You’ll stay here in Panama with Dad, your aunt, your grandma, until I figure everything out?” she explained to her son. “The house where we’ll live, the school where you are going to study, because that’s the plan that I told you, remember?”

Juance was willing to move to the United States once his mother sends for him, but said that he would miss her smile the most while they’re apart.

The Panama native gave more insight into the relationship between her kids and Gino, adding that she introduced them one year into her relationship with the Michigan native. “The funniest part is that they don’t have a language in common. But they were getting along,” she told producers in another scene. “They were playing. They were communicating so well. It was such a beautiful moment.”

How Did Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo Meet?

After divorcing his wife of seven years, Gino tried to change his luck in love by signing up on an international dating site. He was ready to start a family of his own with Jasmine almost immediately after they met for the first time in person, but their road to the altar did include some drama.

Jasmine was more of an extrovert compared to Gino’s introvert, but she also previously admitted to having strict rules for Gino to follow because she had been cheated on in the past.

"You can be the perfect wife, look so beautiful, treat them good. It's never enough," she said on a December 2021 episode. "But that's not gonna happen to me again, no. I have told him that you cannot be nice to women. Especially if I'm around. It's not psycho, it's just that ... even though I believe Gino is very different from all the other guys, trust is something that you build over time." 

After gifting her an electric toothbrush and pregnancy tests upon his arrival in Panama, Gino talked about his hopes of one day becoming a father. 

"I have always wanted to have my own kids. A boy and a girl if it works out that way," he said. "That would be amazing. At this point, I know I'm a little older, but I'm ready. I just needed to meet the right person, and Jasmine, to me, is the right person."

On the other hand, Jasmine was in no rush to welcome another child. "He wants to have a baby right away, that's, that's crazy," she admitted to cameras about why she wanted to wait. "So, Gino doesn't know I'm taking birth control pills. And I'm nervous to tell him the truth because he's gonna be very disappointed."

Do ‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Jasmine and Gino Want Kids Together?

Jasmine admitted they’re on different pages when it comes to having kids during an August 2023 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

"He's having these super high expectations," Jasmine said in a confessional. "But it's hard for me to imagine relying on Gino's family, especially when he's not sure deep in his heart that they like me. And then on top of that it's going to be very hard to move to Michigan and bring my kids, so, to be thinking about having babies at this moment feels crazy and delusional."

She added that Gino “deserves to have his own kids,” though said she’s not sure she will “ever feel prepared to have a kid with Gino and that's the part that really scares me.”

Later in the episode, Jasmine asked Gino if he would stay with her if she decides to not have any more kids. "I told you I want a child," he answered. "Could I survive without a child? Yeah, maybe, I could probably do it, but I won't be happy like I would be if I did have one."

The topic of children was reignited during their appearance on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in March 2024. After tying the knot in June 2023, Jasmine opened up about her struggles with fertility, admitting she should have told Gino earlier.

“It was very hard to conceive my son JC. It wasn’t just like, oh it happened … I even had to go through hormonal treatment to get pregnant,” she explained during a March 2024 episode. In a private confessional, she admitted she was afraid of letting him know about her struggles with infertility as it was a point of contention between her and her ex.

Have Jasmine’s Kids Moved to the United States?

Jasmine and Gino met with a lawyer during the March 24, 2024, episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? to discuss the possibility of her kids moving to the United States.

During the meeting, Jasmine learned it could take up to two years for her children’s visas to be approved due to Gino not listing them on Jasmine’s visa application. The 90 Day Fiancé couple initially believed it would only take around six months for Jasmine to bring her kids over and Gino didn’t have the money to hire an attorney to assist expedite the process.

In turn, Jasmine threatened to leave Gino if he didn’t help her kids relocate to America.

Are ‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Jasmine and Gino Still Together?

Jasmine and Gino were still together as of September 2023. The pair were spotted at the 90 Day Fiancé 10-year celebration in New York City, where they smiled as they posed for photos together on September 26, 2023.

“Jasmine is in America and Michigan. Which is absolutely different from where I come from,” Jasmine explained in an interview with Access Hollywood, adding that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to stay in the U.S. “Now that I’m here in America, I still need to figure it out, if this is what I really want.” 

While it was “harder than she expected” to be away from her country, Gino added, “I hope we can work things out together, but just not sure yet.” 

The pair have seemingly stayed quiet about their relationship status upon their return on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? but are rumored to be starring in the spinoff, 90 Day: The Last Resort.
