Finding Love On Reality TV

Ashley Martson and Jay Smith seemingly found love on the reality show 90 Day Fiance, eventually getting married after the sixth season. However, the marriage quickly turned sour after cheating rumors and the couple is currently in the midst of a messy divorce.

Drama Soon Followed

The drama escalated when Martson came over to Smith's apartment unannounced and found other women at his place. Reportedly, she threw a fire extinguisher through his window in retaliation.

Martson has been charged with one charge of simple assault and one charge of criminal mischief.

He Said, She Said

90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates held an Instagram live stream with the former couple to discuss what went down weeks ago. Smith told his side of the story:

"So this is what happened. I am here chillin’ one night with my friends, cooking. Two girls was over. This is my house and if I want to bring a bunch of girls over, it’s my place."

He explained that he heard a knock at the door and that "someone had their hands over the peephole – she got her hands over the peephole."

"I was like, ‘I'm not expecting no one, I’m not going to open my door if someone have their hands over it."

The knocking continued until Martson apparently had enough.

"A fire extinguisher fcking smashed through my fcking window, hit my friend in the head. It was Ashley."

She Had A Different Story

Martson explained her side of the story on Instagram Live as well, claiming that she was there to pick up her son's PlayStation.

"I just want to clear the air a little bit. Yes, I threw a f*cking fire extinguisher through his front window. Let me explain why."

"I went to his house, knocked on the door, he knew it was me, someone said, ‘Hey Jay, your wife’s at the door,’ whoever was in the house. And he said, ‘F*ck that hoe,’ after [he] just told me in a text message to come pick up the PlayStation. And I was like, ‘Hell no.’ So yes, I sure did take the fire extinguisher off the wall and smashed his front window."
