Actor John Cusack will screen “Say Anything” in Indianapolis this week.

He’ll follow the Sept. 7 screening at Murat Theatre at Old National Centre with a live conversation about his career and the making of the film, including an audience question and answer session.

The 1989 comedy/drama that had the actor starring as lovestruck Lloyd Dobler was ranked by Entertainment Weekly as one of the greatest modern movie romances.

The Indy appearance is part of a tour that has Cusack attending screenings and chatting about the selections. Other movies being shown along the tour are “16 Candles” and “High Fidelity.”

Indiana celebrities: They were born in a small town. Meet 48 famous (or otherwise interesting) Hoosiers

Notably for Hoosiers, Cusack spent two months in Indianapolis filming “Eight Men Out” back in the fall of 1987.

The baseball-themed features saw Cusack play Chicago White Sox third baseman George “Buck” Weaver and his entanglement in the “Black Sox” gambling scandal of 1919.
