80-year-old puppet serenades Simon Cowell and makes him blush on ‘AGT’

Throughout his years behind the judge’s table on various talent shows, Simon Cowell has been the object of many performers’ affection. And during Tuesday’s semifinals of America’s Got Talent, Cowell learned yet again that he just can’t shake his female fans.

Darci Lynne Farmer, the standout 12-year-old singing ventriloquist from Oklahoma City, introduced a new character named Edna — a feisty 80-year-old woman with a sense of humor and a serious crush on Cowell.

Edna, singing thanks to the flawless ventriloquism of Farmer, dedicated the classic Aretha Franklin song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” to Cowell, and ended the performance by getting up close and personal, singing as she gazed into his eyes.

Along with admitting he has a crush on Edna, Cowell praised Farmer’s performance, calling it “brilliant.” So if Farmer is able to advance to the finals, and Edna advances her relationship with Cowell, it’s a win-win for everyone!
