In honor of Thanksgiving's other big draw — football! — look back on some of the NFL star brothers' earlier moments

Ah, Thanksgiving. A time for turkey, stuffing and ... football!

Yes, once the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has aired and the dishes are stacked in the kitchen sink, many Americans hit the couch for the holiday's other grand tradition, courtesy of the NFL.

And fewer people are as associated with the sport than retired quarterback brothers, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. The siblings played for 18 and 16 seasons, respectively, each earning two Super Bowl titles with their teams along the way.

Though they've since left the field, they're still very closely aligned with the NFL thanks to their popular ESPN show ManningCast, a take on Monday Night Football that offers up their commentary, some celebrity guests and a healthy dose of their long-running sibling rivalry.

But before all that, they were just two guys looking to follow in their famous dad Archie Manning's footsteps. Here, take a look at eight throwback photos of Peyton and Eli Manning.

Big Moment

Peyton was the center of attention during the NFL Draft in 1998, joining the Indianapolis Colts with his parents Archie and Olivia and brother Eli by his side.

Double Trouble

They're both winners! The brothers each scooped up an award — Peyton the Bert Bell Award for Professional Player of the Year, and Eli the Maxwell Award for College Player of the Year — at the 2004 Maxwell Football Club Awards.
