1. ‘Enola Holmes’ (2020)

When her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) goes missing, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) is determined to prove to her brother, Sherlock (Henry Cavill), she has the sleuthing skills to crack the case.

Enola disguises herself as a proper lady and takes off to London in search for her mother. She outsmarts her notoriously witty brother as she unravels a dangerous conspiracy.

2. ‘Clue’ (1985)

Six unrelated guests are sent anonymous invitations to a dinner party at Hill House. Upon arrival, each guest is given a pseudonym before giving an introduction to the host (Lee Ving). As the guests gather, each is handed a weapon. At this point the lights go out and the host is murdered.

Every guest is a suspect, but they must work together to uncover who murdered the host and avoid becoming the killer’s next victim.

3. ‘Nancy Drew’ (2007)

Teen sleuth Nancy Drew (Emma Roberts) and her widowed father (Tate Donovan) move from their quiet hometown to Los Angeles, California, where her father has a temporary job.

Nancy’s father encourages her to focus on being a typical teenager and avoid dangerous sleuthing. However, their new home is famous for its unsolved mystery of the death of the movie star Dehlia Draycott. As Nancy struggles to fit in at her new high school, she cannot help but investigate Dehlia’s mysterious death.

4. ‘Pink Panther’ (2006)

In front of thousands of fans, a famous French soccer coach is killed and the legendary Pink Panther diamond he wore on his finger goes missing.

To catch the culprit, Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Kevin Kline) assigns his most skilled detectives to secretly crack the case, while publicly assigning the bumbling Inspector Clouseau (Steve Martin) to be in charge of the case. Clouseau’s clumsy detective skills make him appear hopeless, but his various mistakes miraculously bring him toe to toe with the killer.

5. ‘Scooby Doo’ (2002)

Its been two years since Mystery Inc. closed its doors over clashing egos. 6. ‘Harriet the Spy’ (1996)

She’s only 12 years old, but Harriet (Michelle Trachtenberg) is already a burgeoning spy. It seems harmless until someone finds the journal and exposes Harriet’s — sometimes cruel — opinions of her peers.

Harriet’s world comes crashing down. Even her closest friends have turned against her. In an attempt to get even, Harriet begins plotting her revenge.

8. ‘Hugo’ (2011)

Orphaned and almost entirely alone, Hugo Cabret (Asa Butterfield) lives within the walls of a Paris train station, where he maintains the clocks. More importantly, Hugo protects a mysterious automaton and notebook left for him by his late father.

With help from the goddaughter (Chloë Grace Moretz) of a sour toy merchant (Ben Kingsley), Hugo begins unraveling the mystery of the automaton.
