77 Blackout’s release date could arrive by 2026 at the earliest.
Cary Joji Fukunaga, whose directorial credits include Beasts of No Nation and No Time to Die, will helm the project. He also revised the screenplay originally penned by Justified alumnus Frank John Hughes. Charles Roven and Madison Weireter will produce the film under their Atlas Entertainment banner, alongside The Cut’s William Green and Aaron Ginsburg. If 77 Blackout goes into production by the end of this year, it can premiere in 2026 at the earliest.

This is because two different companies are representing the distribution rights to the film. As per Deadline, Black Bear is set to launch 77 Blackout at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. When a blackout sweeps the city the night of the robbery, the crew is forced to navigate a hellish landscape as years of being overworked and underpaid force each of them to confront their own morality.”
