76ers' Kelly Oubre Jr. takes baseless shot at Knicks' celebrity row, claims they don't 'care about the game'

It wasn't enough for the 76ers to take a shot at the Knicks ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

They also had to take a baseless jab at Celebrity Row at Madison Square Garden.

"They're gonna give celebrities those $100,000 free tickets just to be there and not care about the game, but that's what they do," Kelly Oubre Jr. told reporters on Friday. "It's gonna be super fun, and I look forward to it."

To his credit, Oubre shouted out regular Knicks fans, saying they "have a really good culture of being wild and loving basketball to the root and the core of it."

But his comments about Celebrity Row were not factual.

To name just a bunch, some of the die-hard Knicks fan celebrities most often seen at MSG include:

Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, Spike Lee, Jon Stewart, Edie Falco, Chris Rock, Matthew Modine, John McEnroe, Jerry Ferrara, and Steve Schirippa.

Stiller, in particular, is a rabid supporter, with his Twitter (now known as X) feed often looking like the musings of any random Knicks superfan.

Knicks fans (and Knicks fan celebrities) will get the chance to respond to the Sixers when Game 1 tips off on Saturday night at The Garden.
