Liz and Brice are still together! After welcoming baby No. 1 in November 2023, Liz told Access Hollywood that her relationship with Brice was “a lot better” than before.
“Definitely give credit to Leighton, it definitely has put Brice and I on a new journey than just, you know, from high school to dating to moving out,” Liz said in May 2024, adding that parenthood has brought them “closer together.”
“It has definitely put our perspective on what life is like when you bring in another individual into the world,” she continued. “Him and I, we matter in a way but I’ve always put it in [Brice’s] mindset that Leighton is number one.”

Liz and Brice began dating in 2018, while many of their relationship milestones have been featured on the TLC show.
During season 13, fans watched the couple go house hunting as they prepared to move in together.
“After we move in together, I see our relationship going on and on forever, you know? Just because I know I’d be very excited living with her,” Brice said in a confessional during the May 2023 episode. “Me and her are just going to live the rest of our lives together. So that’s what I feel like.”

In early 2023, fans began to worry that the couple – who tends to keep their relationship off of social media – split when they stopped sharing updates about each other.
“Please, please, please tell me y’all did not break up!! You looked so perfect together,” one social media user commented via Instagram earlier this year. Another worried fan added, “Did you and Bryce break up I hope all the best I thought you guys were the cutest couple!”
Liz continued to fuel rumors that they called it quits when she posted a selfie in February 2023, which she captioned with a smiling sun emoji. Soon after she shared the photo, fans noticed that she deleted all of her photos with Brice from her profile.
Fans rushed to the comments section of the selfie post to share encouraging messages with Liz amid the speculated split. “You well just be fine without him you can do it. keep grinding you don’t need a man for happiness bbg!” one person wrote. Another told the reality star, “THIS TOO SHALL PASS we love you ! Keep shinning queen.”
Brice seemingly squashed split rumors when he shared a birthday message for Liz in December 2023. The father of one wrote on his Instagram Stories, "Happy birthday babe! You are the best mama! I love you!"
Liz confirmed during season 14 of 7 Little Johnstons in March 2024 that she and Brice had “separated” and were “no longer living together.”
“Us living together, it felt more like roommates when we were actually in a relationship. And I could not live like that because I am not a person who wants to be in a relationship where it doesn’t feel like there’s any love or any just, I don’t know, spark,” she said, adding that she wanted a relationship like her parents, Amber and Trent Johnston, who made sure the romance was still alive in their marriage after more tha 25 years.
“I want that, but I can’t do it with somebody who is just OK with being in a fine relationship, being in a mediocre relationship,” Liz continued. “And I can’t be in a mediocre and fine relationship because that’s not who I am.”
Liz told a producer that she had “a lot of emotions” after the split, but felt mostly “angry” because their relationship “changed.”
“When the relationship starts to mentally affect somebody — when they don’t feel like they’re loved, and they tried to do everything to keep the relationship going and to keep the spark alive, and then now they’re exhausted from it and then they just get pretty much depressed — I can’t live like that,” she concluded.
When Did Liz and Brice Get Back Together?
Liz and Brice’s relationship moved to the fast lane when they found out they were expecting their first child together. Though they were in the process of “trying to fix things,” they were still separated and not living together when they found out the pregnancy news.
Liz revealed to her parents during a brunch date that she and Brice had gotten back together, while also informing them that she was 21 weeks pregnant.

The couple announced they were expecting baby No. 1 on September 28, 2023. “Welcoming our newest addition this fall, we couldn’t be more excited for Baby Bolden to arrive!” Liz and Brice told People. In addition to the statement, the pair posed next to a sign that read, “Baby Coming Nov 2023,” and a sonogram image.
The pair revealed the exciting baby news during a May 2024 episode of the series.
Liz and Brice welcomed daughter Leighton Drew Bolden on November 3, 2023, People reported at the time. "The wait is finally over! We’re excited to introduce our baby to the world," the pair told the outlet of their baby girl, who weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces birth.
