5 Barbie-themed events to attend in Austin to celebrate the pink queen's movie release

The Barbie Movie, one of the most anticipated films of the year, is a few days away from being released. Of course, Austinites have to celebrate, too. Pick out your best pink outfits, and join a Barbie celebration at any of these events scattered throughout the month.

1. Alamo Drafthouse's Barbie Events (multiple dates)

Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a plethora of Barbie-themed events for every fan to enjoy on various dates to pick from. The theater is hosting Barbie Brunches, costume screenings, A Barbie Blowout Party with an early access screening, pajama screenings and more.

2. Bouldin Acres Barbie Bash (July 22) All-day

3. Superstition's Barbie Party (July 22)

4. Lefty's Brick Bar Barbie-Themed Drag Queen Bingo Party (July 26) 7 p.m.

1. Garbo's on Lamar: Barbie lobster rolls

Who knew lobster rolls could be Barbie-themed? Head down to Garbo's on 626 N. Lamar Blvd. from July 20-22 to check out the dish, which the restaurant describes as a sparkly sandwich created using specially-made pink buns from EasyTiger, edible glitter, and edible flowers, and served until they run out.
