Nine years after Claudette Cook was told that she would never have children due to her age, the Alabama woman gave birth to healthy twin boys – at age 60.

Cook started fertility treatments last fall, and found out she was pregnant earlier this year.

"It is so awesome, it's was like, 'Oh my goodness, I've got TWO in here!' " Cook told WAFF News. "And then we kept looking at the ultrasounds, and my husband kept taking pictures."

On Sunday, one month before her due date, Cook delivered the fraternal twins, both weighing 5 lbs., via C-section.

"Isaac came out first and Isaiah came out second," she says. "I cried. It was joy."

"Everything changed just in that moment when they were born. Your life changes."

Cook met her husband ten years ago at Church, and credits their faith for getting them through the process of trying to conceive.

"Age is not a number with God," she says. "Plus I was healthy and in good shape. And I was like, 'God, I know I can do this. No matter how hard it was, it was like, he brought me through it all.' "

The twins are staying in the hospital for a few more weeks for observation, but the babies and mom are all doing well.
