Here are 6 things to do this weekend in Stockton

The weekend is just around the corner and so are some fun events. Head over to the Bob Hope Theatre for a Friday night "Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet" or a Saturday morning "Veterans Day Tribute."

There is also the "Stockton Hmong New Year" and a "Holly Jolly Christmas Faire" at Lincoln Center.

Here are six things to do in Stockton this weekend.

Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet at the Bob Hope Theatre

Head over to the Bob Hope Theatre on Friday, Nov. 10 for the Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet.

"Experience the extraordinary international cast and Ukrainian Principal Artists performing at the peak of classical European Ballet," the Ticketmaster website states. "Be transported by the magic of jaw-dropping acrobatics, larger than life puppets and stunning hand-crafted sets and costumes."

Tickets start at $30.

Veterans Day Tribute at Bob Hope Theater

The annual Veterans Day Tribute is on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Bob Hope Theater. The free community event is hosted by the United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County to honor and celebrate Veterans. The program will begin at 10:45 a.m., however, doors open an hour before.

Storytime at the Tiny Library at Weberstown Mall

Captain America will be the special guest reader this month for story time at the Weberstown Mall Tiny Library near Sears and LensCrafters. The free family event will include stories, crafts and snacks. This is an event sponsored by the Family Resource & Referral Center and 2-1-1 San Joaquin.

Fall Fest Pop-Up at Cuppajo Coffee

Canned goods collected as a part of more than 42,000 pounds of donations received by the Stockton Emergency Food Bank in 2017. More than 70 percent of the steel used to make metal food containers is from recycled metal; if the supply of recycled metal to the food-processing industry is interrupted, the price of canned goods will increase.

Head over to the Miracle Mile for a free family-friendly Fall Fest Pop-up hosted by Cuppajo Coffee, Rooted in the 209 and Tocco Divino. An event where you can find coffee, vendors and games. There will also be free pumpkin painting, a clothing and canned/ non-perishable food drive by Rooted in the 209 as well as a plant swap. Food donations will benefit the St. Mary's Dining Hall.

Stockton Hmong New Year

Head over to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Nov. 11 and Sunday, Nov. 12 for Stockton Hmong New Year. A celebration with cultural performances, a sports tournament, music, and food.

Children under 5 years old and senior citizens over 66 years old enter free with ID. General admission is $5 for anyone over 6 years old to 65 years old. Parking is $5 per car.

Holly Jolly Christmas Faire at Lincoln Center

The Holly Jolly Christmas Faire is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Lincoln Center. Santa Claus will be in town. There will also be horse and carriage rides and snowfall on the brickwalk. The event is free for the community.
