When Al Snow, the CEO and co-owner of Ohio Valley Wrestling, showed up at the 2023 Bourbon & Beyond Music Festival, fans of the Netflix show "Wrestlers" rushed over to meet him, yours truly included.

The seven-episode docuseries directed by Greg Whitely ("Cheer") has made pop culture celebrities out of the wrestlers featured in the show. Not only that, the locations where the series was shot, most of which are in Louisville, have become stars of their own.

Like fans who travel great distances to snap a selfie in spots where "Yellowstone" or "Game of Thrones" were shot, on a local scale you can accomplish the same thing with familiar locations in Kentucky shown in "Wrestlers."

Here are six places near Louisville that appear in the Netflix show "Wrestlers" that you can visit in person. If you are lucky, you may even grab a selfie with Snow or one of the other OVW wrestlers or staff.

Ohio Valley Wrestling headquarters

We're starting with the most obvious local landmark in the seven-part series, the Davis Arena in the headquarters of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Nestled into the back section of an industrial complex south of downtown Louisville, the OVW building plays an important role in each episode with numerous scenes of wrestling matches, Snow's office and the production studio for the OVW televised coverage taking place in this building.

Louisville Extreme Park and Big Four Pedestrian Bridge

The David Armstrong Extreme Park, formerly called the Louisville Extreme Park, is used as a scene setter in Episode 2 of "Wrestlers." So is the on-ramp on the Kentucky side of the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge at Waterfront Park. If you are looking for a quick selfie to send to fans of "Wrestlers" who live outside of Louisville, these are simple locations and easy to access.

You may also recognize Horner Novelty, 1704 Allison Lane, Jeffersonville, Indiana. When Snow needs a mask of a pig for a pre-recorded video to be used in an upcoming televised OVW episode, he visits Horner Novelty to purchase the prop.

We are also fairly certain, though not 100%, that the Holiday Inn where Hollyhood Haley J and her mom, Amazing Maria, are seen working in a couple of the episodes is the hotel near the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

R Place Pub featured in 'Wrestlers'

Near the end of the final episode of the seven-part docuseries, the OVW staff gathers to celebrate at the R Place Pub. The neighborhood sports bar, located at 9603 Whipps Mill Road in Lyndon, is known for sand volleyball, live music, pool tables, food and drink.

OVW announcers Steve Johnson and Bryan Kennison take a stroll down Bardstown Road to put up OVW posters in the stores and restaurants located in the Highlands neighborhood. You may recognize Mark's Feed Store, Dragon King's Daughter, Shiraz Meditarrian Grill and the intersection at Eastern Parkway and Bardstown Road. All great spots to snap a photo or grab a meal.

Harlan County Poke Sallet Festival featured in 'Wrestlers'

201 S. Main St., Harlan, Kentucky. Featured in episode 3: "Faces & Heels"

We step outside the Louisville city limits in Episode 3 and travel to Harlan County's Poke Sallet Festival. It's here that OVW sets up its wrestling ring during a summer road tour. In an attempt to attract new fans, the OVW traveled to 33 locations (large and small) around the state of Kentucky including Pioneer Day in Harrodsburg, Pulaski County Fair in Somerset, 3rd Turn Brewing, Hillview Softball Field, St. Paul Catholic Church and more.

The 1894 Lodge in 'Wrestlers'

409 E Main St, New Washington, Indiana. Featured in episode 6 "About Face"

Several members of the OVW cast and production crew travel to The 1894 Lodge in New Washington, Indiana for a pre-recorded video shoot in a scene in Episode 6. Aaron Grider, a referee at OVW and Freya the Slaya are the stars of the short video directed by Snow. The 1894 Lodge is an upscale restaurant housed in a historic brick building about 28 miles northeast of Louisville. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner, which meant the OVW crew was able to produce its video while the business was closed.
