Today, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh both went in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify regarding sexual assault allegations brought against the Supreme Court nominee. The hearing, which was led mostly by men, was about as sexist as you'd expect. Here are some of the most ridiculous things that happened.

Sen. Orrin Hatch called Dr. Ford an "attractive witness."

According to Kate Irby, a congressional reporter, Sen. Hatch called Dr. Ford an “attractive witness.” Per her tweet, when asked to elaborate what he meant, he said “she’s pleasing.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley interrupted Sen. Dianne Feinstein during her questioning.

When Sen. Feinstein first started talking to Dr. Ford, she said she was going to summarize Dr. Ford's resume because Sen. Grassley hadn't done it during his opening comments. Sen. Grassley promptly interrupted her.

"Before you get to your testimony and the chairman chose not to do this, I think it's important to make sure you are properly introduced," Sen. Feinstein said.

"I was going to introduce her...I will be glad to have you do that," Sen. Grassley said.

"Thank you," Sen. Feinstein said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham told a rape victim to "tell the cops."

Another congressional reporter overheard Sen. Graham respond by saying, "I'm sorry. Tell the cops," when a woman told him she was raped. The woman, named Robyn Swirling, confirmed it herself via Twitter.

Kavanaugh interrupted Sen. Feinstein as she was trying to speak.

When Sen. Feinstein was trying to question Kavanaugh, he got angry at her question about FBI investigations and interrupted her, saying “You are interviewing me. You are interviewing me. You are doing it, Senator. I'm sorry to interrupt but you are doing it. There is no conclusions reached.”

Sen. Graham told the Democrats to say hello to Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan for him.

At one point during Kavanugh's questioning, Sen. Graham went off, bringing up two other female Supreme Court justices he voted for as some sort of consolation prize. "When you see Sotomayor and Kagan, tell them I say hello, because I voted for them. I would never do to them what you've done to this man." He then proceeded to ask Kavanaugh if he was a "gang rapist" and said he has nothing to apologize for.

Sen. Hatch called Stormy Daniels's lawyer a "porn star lawyer."

While Sen. Hatch was speaking at one point during the questioning, he referenced the allegations brought fourth by Julie Swetnick through Stormy Daniels's lawyer, Michael Avenatti. Hatch made a comment during the hearing about "porn star lawyers with facially implausible claims" running the news cycle, seemingly discrediting Swetnick's allegations because of her chosen legal counsel.
