The Packers season is a big deal in Wisconsin, and owners of bars and restaurants have to be creative to get people into their establishments for games.

Touchdown shots and drink specials are the norm for many bars around the city, and it would be hard to find a bar not showing the Packers on game days.

But some bars and restaurants do more unique things to draw customers. From meat raffles to a free recliner, here are six places in the Milwaukee area that offer some extra perks during Packers games.

Cactus Club

2496 S. Wentworth Ave.

This local music hall hosts Packers watch parties and keeps the action going during halftime with live shows by local musicians. During halftime food trucks also might line up outside of the bar, and Transfer Pizzeria provides a few complimentary pies.

For the game, customers can enjoy stadium seating around the bar with a DJ playing tunes during commercial breaks.

Camp Bar

4044 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood; 6600 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa; 525 E. Menomonee St., 1023 N. King Dr.

This bar throws one of the largest Packer parties in Milwaukee every year at the Third Ward location. This year for the first game of the season on Sept. 10, Camp Bar will shut down E. Menomonee St. between S. Jackson Ave. and S. Cochran St. for a block party that includes a giant screen playing the game.

Customers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs while they watch the game on the shut-down block.

For other games, Camp Bar throws a party complete with lights, smoke machines and DJs to enhance the excitement at kickoff and every time the Packers score.

Dale Z's

3585 S. Howell Ave.

After watching a Packer game at Dale Z's, dozens of people walk away with free food or booze, thanks to the bar's meat raffle.

Dale Z's will pull a name for a prize during every break of the game, which accounts to about 60 names being drawn every game. Prizes include bacon, sausage, pork, beef and more. People who don't eat meat can pick a bottle of alcohol instead.

At the end of every game, one final name is drawn for a person to play the bar's version of "Deal or No Deal," where they can win a bar tab anywhere from $25 to $1,000.

The bar also has a DJ playing music during every commercial break, and the national anthem plays before games.

Jack's American Pub

1323 E. Brady St.

This Brady Street sports bar will be giving away a pair of Packers home game tickets during every game. Customers who purchase any of the following will be put in a raffle for a chance to win:

  • $7 Leap, Crown, and Cazadores mixers

  • $4 Miller Lite tallboys

  • $5 Vizzy's

Jack's is also trying to lessen Packer fans' pain of losing four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets by paying the drink tab of a customer every time the Jets lose. Customers must open their tab 15 minutes before the Jets game and stay until the end of the game for their tab to be paid.

Milwaukee Brat House

1013 N. King Dr.; 4022 N Oakland Ave., Shorewood

Few things are more Wisconsin than Packers and pull tabs. At the Milwaukee Brat House on King Drive, they combine these past times with a free pull tab with the purchase of any drink on special during the Packers game.

At the Brat House in Shorewood, they bring the living room to the bar with a recliner that customers get a chance to sit in. And like at home, drinks are free when sitting in the chair.

Anyone who purchases a drink on special during the Packers game will get put in a raffle for a chance to sit in the recliner. Every time a team scores, they pull a new name for someone to have a chance to sit in the chair. While sitting in the chair, every drink is free.

At the end of the game, the Brat House pulls a name for a customer who can take a recliner home, which is given away during every Packer game.

Packers drink specials are the same at both Milwaukee Brat House locations. Those drinks include:

  • $7 Leap, Crown, Cazadores, and Captain Morgan mixed drinks

  • $5 Smirnoff bombs

  • $4 Miller Lite tallboys

  • $5 Vizzy's
