Yelp released a list of Top "100 US Ice Cream Shops 2023" and six metro Phoenix ice cream shops made the cut.

Factors taken into account included the reviewers' ratings and total volume between Jan. 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023. The list focuses on smaller businesses with less than five locations.

Props to Arizona ice cream vendors for getting national attention. And while we have some great choices on the list, we were surprised by some of the rankings, like BEG, which sells fantastic soft serve and made it to our must-try Scottsdale dessert list, being so much higher on the list at 28 than Novel, widely regarded as one of the best shops in town, which came in at 69.

But, honestly, there's not a bad choice on the list, which is sweet news for Valley ice cream lovers.
