It was revealed that his stunt double at the time, was Larry Nicholas, a 30-year-old man. This stunt double looked exactly like 9-year-old Macaulay Culkin at the time because they had the same height and physique. This would shock anyone who had no idea because it is rare to see a 30-year-old adult that looks exactly like a 9-year-old in the dark.

The Faked Boobytraps:

The scene where Pesci's head was blowtorched, was a practical and smart lie by the producers. Initially, they shot this scene with a mannequin that looked exactly like him and it looked real to viewers. Another fake scene was when Daniel Stern Marv was seen walking on ice. Naturally, a real human leg would not be able to last a few steps, but Marv had on a rubber prosthetic legs that looked like his feet. Also, when he was stepped into the house, it was not glass he was stepping on, rather, it was candy made to look like glass.

A Registered Phone Number Was Used:

Usually, in movies, when people have to call the number of a person, it is usually not a real one. However, in "Home Alone 2," the Plaza Hotel that Kevin called in the movie was the hotel's real number in real life. This is shocking because it goes against the practice of Hollywood, to make use of fake or unregistered numbers. This is to protect the identity of the actors in the movie and stop people from getting to them through their phones.
