Gold Derby asked fans to vote in our overnight poll for which of these eliminated acts was most robbed, and the majority of respondents (54%) chose Jon. Jon’s magic act involved a deck of playing cards and wine glasses. The Season 11 alum asked the four judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B — to shuffle the diamonds, and then without looking he matched the order of those cards with the order of cards already in a wine glass. During the performance, he made sure to emphasize his “family values.”

The judges, as always, were positive in their critiques of Jon’s close-up trick. Simon noted how he was an “amazing performer” and at his “very best.” Howie remarked how Jon was “truly a champion” because of what he’s accomplished in his life. Heidi expressed anger that he wasn’t a part of her own “team.” And Mel, his squad leader, finished it off by declaring him to be “incredible.”

While Jon, Tape Face, Maria and Hans all received bad news, the following six acts advanced to the next round: V.Unbeatable, Kodi Lee, Shadow Ace, Kseniya Simonova and Kristy Sellars via the audience vote, and Billy & Emily England thanks to Mel B’s Golden Buzzer. The ultimate champion will win the $250,000 grand prize.

Terry Crews serves as the host for this new spin-off show, just as he does for “America’s Got Talent.” Be sure to sound off down in the comments section about what you thought of this first group of “AGT Fantasy League” eliminations. The second lineup of 10 acts will take the stage on Monday, January 8.
