Midland July 4 celebration continues with a car cruise and carnival and live music from Project Band at 4:30 p.m. followed by Dr. Zoot at 7 p.m.

Midland July 4 celebration continues with a 10 a.m. parade, carnival, fireworks after 9:30 p.m. and bands beginning at 1:30 p.m. with Blind Colours, Cassie & Dave, Fistful of Ballers, House of Soul and Casanova at 8:30 p.m.

4th of July Car Show hosted by the Chester Lions Club, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., Chester City Park, Louella Avenue, Chester, W.Va. Slovenefest returns to the SNPJ Recreation Center in Lawrence County. The largest Slovenian cultural festival of its kind, is a weekend-long celebration of the music, tastes and traditions of Slovenia attended by as many as 5,000 people, featuring more than 20 Slovenian polka bands and button box accordion clubs at five indoor and outdoor venues. Monaca Cornet Band, 6:30 p.m. outdoors at Lincoln Park, Midland.

Free sundown screening of "Best Summer Ever," an upbeat movie musical with not-so-subtle nodsto "Grease" and "Footloose," in Schenley Park, Pittsburgh. Featuring eight original songs and an integrated cast and crew of people with and without disabilities the film will be presented with open captions and audio description in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
