Some free advice for 50 Cent and Vivica A. Fox: Move on!
The rapper/actor and the actress briefly dated in 2003. Let us emphasize that it was really brief — less than one year. Since then, for the last 15 years, they’ve been trash-talking each other.
The Kill Bill actress, 53, was the one to reignite the feud by writing in her new book, Every Day I’m Hustling, that their sex life was “PG-13 rated.” Fox dished that “most of the time,” she was “the one initiating sex because I really enjoyed making love with him.” Despite the disses, she also called their time together “cherished” and “special.” OK with the mixed messages.
Needless to say, the “In Da Club” singer, 42, wasn’t thrilled and responded on social media. “Who does this?” is the most PG part of his reply.

Who does this? Well, two people who have made a career out of publicly sparring. They’re both guilty of it — which we’ll look at here — and it seems like the ridiculousness will never end because their beef is more exciting to talk about than, you know, insulting remarks toward the LGBT community or bankruptcy. Summer 2003: Curtis Jackson, who is really big at the moment thanks to his new album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and Vivica, the Independence Day star who is appearing in the blockbuster Kill Bill: Vol. 1, start dating. They make just one public appearance together — the MTV VMAs in August.
October 2003: According to her book, he planned to propose to her in Monte Carlo that October, when they were attending the World Music Awards. However, despite getting a 14-carat ring and planning to rent out a theater showing Kill Bill, Vol. 1 for the proposal, he changed his mind because he felt she hogged the spotlight by signing on as the award show’s host.
December 2003: 50 dishes on his breakup with Fox to Howard Stern. He says they dated for just two months after they met in Atlanta. He says his mistake with the relationship is that they went public too soon, and he also sensed that she and her handlers were using their relationship for publicity. He never officially broke up with her; he just ghosted her. On the show, he also answers questions about their sex life.
2004: Clearly there was some bitterness — on both sides — and now it was shared in a public forum. So after that, they continue to make public disses throughout 2004. “I went out with him for like two months, and I’ve been asked about him for nearly a year,” Fox said in 2004.
March 2005: 50 released a song about Vivica called “Get in My Car,” which wasn’t flattering.
August 2005: Vivica really gets to have her say on the Tyra Banks Show. She says she’s upset that he cast her as the villain in their split and emphasized that he was behind it. “No, it wasn’t the press — it was him!” she said. “He was like, ‘She’s exploiting me. She’s trying to use me to get publicity, which was so not true. … I just consider that ghetto love. That was his way of dealing with the breakup. ‘She did me wrong. Vivica did me wrong, y’all.’”
January 2010: Peace treaty! After years of being the bickersons, despite both moving on to other relationships, they finally make up. And not just make up behind the scenes. He asks Vivica to appear in his video for “Do You Think About Me,” which is about a romance gone wrong. She tries to kill him in the video, which seems appropriate.
Around that time, 50 Cent appears on Tyra’s show and reveals that he initiated their makeup. “I called her. I said, ‘You have to stop fighting me and be in my video,’” he said. During that interview, he also says that they dated for “about a year.” Then he said, “It was like a month, but we were going back and forth with each other for the rest of the year.” He adds that they’d never get back together.
February 2015: In a bizarre turn of events, Vivica calls 50 the “love of my life” in an interview on the Meredith Vieira Show. “Even though he is absolutely the love of my life, dating 50 Cent was difficult,” she says. “I really, really cared for him. I loved him very much and I always will, but he just wasn’t right for me.”
March 2015: 50 later admitted that he was shocked by Vivica’s confession. On Power 105.1 Radio, he says, “I saw that after. I was like: Wow, that she would even say that at this point.” He added, “We at 2003, the release of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ [is the] largest debuting hip-hop album, and I’m sitting there like, ‘Huh?’ We went out once before the [MTV VMAs]. I didn’t know the award show was going to publicly marry us. She knew better than I did what was going to happen.”
October 2015: 50 disses Empire soon after Vivica’s cast in it, saying, “We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!” So she strikes back, insinuating that he may be gay on Watch What Happens Live. “First of all, you know, the pot calling the kettle black is all I’m saying,” Vivica sniffs. Pressed for clarification, she adds: “He’s not [gay] — I mean we had a great time. He just seems like he’s got something that’s … not quite clear.” She also points to an XXL cover that featured 50 Cent and Soulja Boy, saying, “He just looked like a booty snatcher on that one to me.”
November 2015: That sets off 50, who takes to social media to post a photo of Vivica with “bad boob job” written across it. In his post, he writes, “B**** remember when you told me f*** Halle Berry and you could have played all the roles she did better than her? And I just looked at you like what the f*** kind s*** did you take? LMAO.” It was pretty brutal. Vivica apologizes to Soulja Boy, but not 50.
January 2017: The exes make peace again, Vivica announces on Wendy Williams. “Someone has to be the bigger person,” she says. “I hated to have beef with him, but I let nobody mess with me. I ain’t no punk. I told him, ‘I will always love you. We’re not meant to be together, but I’ll always have love for you.’” In an another interview she talks about their “romantic” relationship.
October 2017: They appear on 50 Central and talk about their ongoing feud. “We had an epic battle, didn’t we?” she says. “Curtis and I are so connected, to be very honest with you. I’ve always respected his hustle and I believe that he respects mine, and that’s always been our common connection.” She adds that they enjoy shocking their fans with their mini-reunions. “He and I like to shock the world, and we’ve done it so many times that it’s like, ‘Boom! And another one,’” she says.
March 2018: A preview for her new book, which comes out on April 3, has the comment about their “PG-13” sex life. While she also says nice things (she “cherished” their intimate moments), all people hear is the negative. That includes 50. He responds on Instagram with a few choice words.
As she gears up for a book tour, expect more. This truly is the feud that never ends … over a two-month relationship a zillion years ago.
