Update: 10:39 a.m. PT (March 12, 2024) – Beam Suntory, the liquor brand that 50 Cent accused of embezzlement has issued a statement denying all claims.

Beam Suntory vehemently denies all allegations of wrongdoing,” wrote the company in an emailed statement. “It had no involvement in or knowledge of the fraudulent activity alleged in the complaint, and any allegation to the contrary has no basis in fact. It is undisputed that we honored all prior obligations to Mr. Jackson and Sire Spirits, and it is very unfortunate that the parties involved continue to misrepresent the facts and misdirect blame in an attempt to recover fees and damages.”

50 Cent is not the one to play with, especially when it comes to his money.

The Queens-bred rapper has called out premium spirits brand, Beam Suntory, over their alleged role in an embezzlement scheme that reportedly cost him millions in legal fees and almost ended his Sire Spirits company.

Fif took to Instagram on Monday evening (Mar. 11) to warn the company that they will “pay for what they did.” He continued, “These big companies think they can get away with anything. It has cost me millions in legal fees. They are gonna find out I’m not the one you want to play with. I’m not the guy you want to get started. In nicest way, I’m gonna need my money by Monday.”

The Power mogul filed a formal 70-page complaint with the New York State Supreme Court, per Fox5 News. Beam Suntory is being accused of being complicit in a kickback scheme where it reportedly embezzled more than $6 million from Fif’s Sire Spirits by overcharging for it.

Sire Spirits attorney claimed Beam Suntory’s Chief Commercial Officer Julious Grant “facilitated the entire fraud.” Mitchell Green, Sire Spirits’ former director of Brand Management, previously pleaded guilty to wire fraud for his role in the alleged scheme after embezzling over $2 million from his employers. Green was ordered to pay over $6 million in damages.

The “21 Questions” rapper later shared a letter that Beam Suntory sent “without [his] knowledge” back in 2016 and threatened to host a press conference to expose the co-conspirators.

He also noted that “this will make a great unscripted project.”
