5 times television made us cry in 2017
There have been plenty of emotional moments on TV this year, but a few still have us tearing up.
This Is Us is a constant tearjerker, so much so that we watch it with strategically placed boxes of tissues. But one moment that still has us crying was the flashback of Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) decision to adopt Randall (Sterling K. Brown). We always knew Rebecca was a great mom, but seeing her love a child so soon after losing one her own made her one of the best TV moms of all time.
Speaking of love, like Winona Ryder, we fell head over heels for Sean Astin’s Bob on this season of Stranger Things. He was kind, caring, and affable in a way that caught us all off guard. So, SPOILER ALERT, when he was shockingly killed by a demo-dog, we couldn’t help but cry for #JusticeForBob.
Perhaps nothing was as painful as watching Jane (Gina Rodriguez) learn of Michael’s (Brett Dier) death on Jane the Virgin. But as the show proved, it is possible to move on, to find happiness and love, even after a heart-wrenching loss.
