5 Things We’re Excited to See From James Corden Hosting the Grammys

CBS’s The Late Late Show host James Corden has been tapped to host the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, 2017, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow announced: “He’s got big shoes to fill after the magnificent run we had with LL Cool J, but James Corden is a commanding, dynamic showman who, we believe, is perfect to host the Grammy Awards.”

With Corden coming off a critically praised stint hosting the Tony Awards in June, fans can expect to see him bring his charming, self-deprecating brand of British humor to music’s biggest awards show.

Corden said, “I am truly honored to be hosting the Grammys next year. It’s the biggest, most prestigious awards show in music, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.”
