5 of our favorite Memphis-made fall treats (Yes, there's lots of pumpkin spice!)

From lattes to baked goods to frozen treats, pumpkin spice is the “in” flavor right now.

Here are five pumpkin spice treats from Memphis bakeries and sweet shops that should not be missed.

Don’t wait too long, though. They will all be gone by the end of November.

Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake Bars: 17 Berkshire

17 Berkshire owner Nuha Abuduhair is known for her breathtakingly gorgeous and equally delicious French pastries and macarons. Offerings change seasonally and, with the arrival of fall, she has added pumpkin treats to her menu.

In addition to her pumpkin spice macarons, she has Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake Bars on the menu. These gooey bars have just the right touch of pumpkin spice. Swirls of cream cheese and pumpkin are topped with a pecan praline, and — as Abuduhair says — baked to perfection.

Order it with 17 Berkshire’s Fall Harvest Latte. Called “The Autumn,” it's topped with a pumpkin spice cold foam.

Pumpkin Spice-Glazed Cinnamon Rolls: Rollin Cafe

Rollin Cafe in Cordova serves over-the-top cinnamon roll flavors, in addition to its full café menu. For the fall, owner Rachel Sikes has created a sinfully good fall-inspired cinnamon roll.

Rollin Cafe's Pumpkin Spice-Glazed Cinnamon Roll is made for those who love pumpkin spice lattes and fresh cinnamon rolls. As Sikes describes it: “If fall could be a baked good, it would definitely be Rollin cinnamon rolls topped with a warm pumpkin spice glaze.”

Three locations: 394 S. Grove Park; 1016 W. Poplar Ave., Collierville; 9845 Lake District Drive North, Lakeland; frostbakeshop.com

Frost Bake Shop is known around Memphis for its signature gooey cookies and bars. These soft, dense sweet treats come in flavors like butter, funfetti, strawberry and chocolate. And, in the fall, pumpkin gets added to the mix.

Frost chef and owner Bill Kloos has created a must-try pumpkin gooey bar topped with salted pecans.

NEW MEMPHIS RESTAURANTS: Maciel's Tortas & Tacos is opening a third location in Memphis. Here's where and when.

Frost uses real pumpkin in all its pumpkin desserts, but they say the spice mix is the star of the recipe. The pumpkin flavor is subtle and not overpowering. It’s the perfect blend of pumpkin spice seasonings.

Frost Bake Shop will also be offering pumpkin cupcakes and cakes during the fall.

Pumpkin Oreo Cheesecake Ice Cream: Sugar Ghost Ice Cream & Bubble Tea

Two locations: 2615 Broad Ave. and 9077 Poplar Ave., Germantown; sugarghostmemphis.com

Ice cream may not be the first treat that comes to mind when you think pumpkin spice, but thanks to Sugar Ghost Ice Cream & Bubble Tea, it should be.

Sugar Ghost is serving a Pumpkin Oreo Cheesecake flavor of its handcrafted ice cream. Owner Mary Claire White said the flavor was inspired by her love of pumpkin and the desire to create something different. “Oreo cheesecake is a classic favorite dessert, so we decided to mix it with pumpkin and the result is a perfect way to enjoy a new pumpkin flavor,” she said.

We recommend ordering a scoop on a cone — it’s the ice cream version of a pie crust.

Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pies: Muddy’s Bake Shop

2497 Broad Ave.; muddysbakeshop.com

Muddy’s Bake Shop’s famous Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pies are making a return to the bakery this fall.

To make this seasonal treat, two tender, cakey pumpkin "cookies" are sandwiched together with a cinnamon brown sugar filling. It’s a tasty fall twist on a classic treat.

The Whoopie Pies will make periodic appearances in the bakery’s cases, but owner Kat Gordon wants to teach you how to make them yourself. She will be hosting a Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pie cooking class Oct. 28 at the bakery. (The hands-on cooking class is $75.)

Muddy’s Bake Shop will also be offering pumpkin cupcakes, pumpkin cakes and a 5-spice pumpkin pie this fall.
