Oscar and Emmy-nominated actor-comedian Kristen Wiig officially joined the coveted Saturday Night Live Five-Timers Club this weekend, where she was inaugurated by a star-studded cast of A-Listers during her monologue, receiving the much-prized cushy jacket. The Bridesmaids star and writer led a night filled with guest characters, gut-busting laughs and a musical performance by record-breaking Brit Award artist Raye. Read on for our pick of the night's five best sketches and their many celeb cameos.

5 Best 'SNL' Skits Last Night

1. Pilates

A horror film set at a boutique, neon dark room pilates class? Say less! In this soon-to-be genre classic, Wiig stars as an eerie instructor who only seems to be able to identify her students as "mamas." The tight sketch pokes fun at the attendees—consisting of women (first-time moms and former dancers) and "one gay man not wearing underwear" (played by Bowen Yang)—who succumb to the latent evil in the Reformer studio. There's "torture and sex" machines, a random Kaia Gerber appearance, a peer getting banished for not bringing her grip socks, all set to a creepy low-fi remix of Megan Thee Stallion's "Body."

2. Jumanji

In this hilarious skit, Wiig plays a girlfriend getting introduced to her partner's close friends. All is swell until she hedges at the idea of playing a board game, claiming she doesn't want to be "Jumanjied" by it. What ensues is another kind of game, where all of the characters vie for who can say the word "Jumanji" five-times-fast as they argue about the semantics of the film and bizarre fear. Of course, as the themed train game is broken open, the group is, indeed, "Jumanjied," with Will Forte, an SNL alum and co-star to Wiig in MacGruber, popping in as a train conductor.

3. Retirement Party

A repeat sketch for SNL, a man's (Kenan Thompson) retirement party turns wacky when a slate of unwelcome guests, rude coworkers and menacing intruders take control of the microphone. Featuring surprise appearances from Matt Damon (playing himself) and Fred Armisen (who portrays a creeper colleague), the skit culminates in a spot-on turn for Forte, who delivers a chilling monologue on death and brings the conclusion to a full-circle moment.

4. Kristen Wiig Five-Timers Monologue

While not technically a sketch, Wiig's monologue is worthy of an entry given its skit-like format. Ecstatic to join the impressive roster of Five-Timers alumni, she is interrupted by peers (none of whom have hosted five times, unlike Wiig) like Damon, Armisen, Forte, Paul Rudd, Ryan Gosling, Jon Hamm and Martin Short, as well as famed creator Lorne Michaels. The running joke, led by the star-studded cameos, is that just anyone can get into the club nowadays. "They basically hand those out to everybody like free maxi pads," her former collaborator, Paula Pell, says.

5. La Maison Du Bang!

SNL is arguably at its best when leaning into the absurd. In this PBS mockumentary-style format, Ego Nwodim unpacks a '70s French variety live show. Standouts from the sketch include a variety of unintelligible fake French phrases, flamboyant costumes and a disturbing mime. Wholly Wiig's, however, the skit is perfectly suited for the actress' skillset of physical comedy, featuring her gesticulating wildly as she proclaims "Je dance" over and over again in a pastel-colored leotard.
