The 2024 Royal Rumble goes down at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 27. The company has thus far confirmed four matches for the upcoming Premium Live Event. Fans can expect more matches to be added during RAW and SmackDown this week.

At the time of the writing, WWE has announced four of the 30 participants for the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Bobby Lashley will all fight for the opportunity to main event WrestleMania 40 in three weeks from this Saturday.

The following list contains names that may be added to the Men’s Rumble Match. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the five best options for 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner:

Sami Zayn deserves his solo push

Sami Zayn has been a consistent player on the WWE roster for years. The former Honorary Uce has given fans some incredible moments throughout the years. His involvement with The Bloodline was one of the best storylines in 2022-23.

Zayn doesn’t need to prove himself time and again as a main event player. His impressive resume speaks for itself. The RAW superstar could win the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match to get that much-deserved World Heavyweight Championship rematch.

Jey Uso has proven to be a main event player

Jey Uso truly had an amazing 2023. The Yeet Master managed to get out of his cousin’s shadow. He became the first person in nearly five years to pin Roman Reigns. He also became a two-time Undisputed Tag Team Champion with a win over The Judgment Day.

Jey proved he could thrive in singles competition with a great World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins. His winning the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match could add to the anticipation surrounding The Bloodline storyline.

Gunther was the Iron Man in 2023

Gunther defined the term “pro wrestler” in 2023. The Ring General gave one of the greatest Royal Rumble performances last year. He stayed in the ring for more than an hour without getting eliminated. The Austrian powerhouse also popped a huge reaction from the crowd with a face-off against Brock Lesnar.

It is unknown if Gunther will be added to the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. That being said, I, for one, would not mind seeing him compete in the match and win it. Who knows, Gunther may even challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship in a “title for title” match in the main event of WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes has to finish his story

Cody Rhodes was the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble. The American Nightmare entered WrestleMania 39 as the fan favorite over Roman Reigns. Unfortunately, the Tribal Chief taught him a bitter lesson with a shocking defeat.

Rhodes has iterated he has to finish his story, and finish he must. The WWE Championship is the one major title that’s alluded his illustrious family. If he fails this time, he may not get a championship opportunity against Roman Reigns ever again.

CM Punk’s last Royal Rumble match didn’t go well

CM Punk should’ve headlined WrestleMania on multiple occasions. He didn’t. In 2013, he witnessed The Rock end his historic title run at the Royal Rumble. Other issues were at hand, but he failed to win the match in 2014 and walked out on the company the following night on RAW.

After all these years, Punk has the opportunity once again to headline WrestleMania. Ideally, Punk and Rhodes would be the final two men in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, with the Second City Saint eliminating the American Nightmare to kick off his road to WrestleMania 40.
