On Thursday night, country's biggest stars gathered in Frisco, Texas, to celebrate the genre, and many brought their fashion A-game with them.

But naturally, there were also a few outfits that missed the mark.

Here's a look at the best and worst looks of the night.

Miranda Lambert looked like country royalty in a floor-length black gown.

Her halter gown had a deep slit in the middle of its bodice and a matching one down its skirt, giving the garment a daring edge.

But it was also embellished with a silver collar and a turquoise-studded belt, making the gown appear equally glamorous and fitting for a country star.

Lambert completed the look with silver sandals, a matching clutch, and statement earrings.

Avril Lavigne's outfit was too casual for an awards ceremony.

She walked the ACM Awards carpet in a torn hoodie, distressed bell-bottom jeans with butterfly appliqués, and long, straight hair.

The outfit was true to Lavigne's punk-rock roots but wasn't the right choice for a country-music awards ceremony. An edgy dress or a fun top with the same jeans would have worked better.

Brothers Osborne were one of the best-dressed music duos on the red carpet.

T.J. walked the carpet in a baby-blue suit, red undershirt, and pearl brooch, while John sported a paisley blouse underneath a burnt-orange suede jacket. He also wore striped pants and a cowboy hat.

Their outfits worked side-by-side but also showcased their respective styles perfectly.

There was little coordination between Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO.

The couple arrived in contrasting outfits, with Jelly Roll's consisting of black pants, a matching T-shirt, and a brown leather jacket. He accessorized with sneakers and a diamond cross chain.

Bunnie XO, on the other hand, sported a blue satin gown decorated with light-brown sparkles and a massive gem choker necklace.

Though their outfits worked great individually, different pieces could have meshed better together.

TikToker Markell Washington wore one of the night's best outfits.

The influencer also wore a black cowboy hat and a bolo tie. The outfit was unique, on theme, and truly stood out on the ACM Awards carpet.

Kane Brown played it too safe with his outfit.

He arrived at the event wearing a white pinstriped blazer with no shirt beneath it, a diamond cross necklace, and simple black trousers.

The musician looked sharp in photographs but unfortunately missed the opportunity to have a bigger fashion moment. He could have shined more by wearing better-tailored pants or adding more diamond accessories.

It was tough to miss Lainey Wilson in red as she walked the event's carpet.

She wore a tall red cowboy hat and her signature bell-bottom pants in the same shade — but her blazer stole the show.

Wilson wore the sharp jacket without a shirt underneath, creating a bold and fashion-forward style moment. Thanks to its bedazzled lapels, the piece also sparkled in the light.

She completed her outfit with jewelry from Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.

Kelsea Ballerini's gown was too understated.

The country musician looks stunning in everything she wears — including the golden gown she sported at the ACM Awards. The halter Simkhai dress was made from satin, hugged her body, and extended into a long train.

But while its backless design looked striking from behind, the gown didn't have the same effect in the front.

Its light color blended too much with Ballerini's skin tone, and its top needed a bit more fabric to fit just right.

Tiera Kennedy proved that blue is her color.
