FALL RIVER — On Saturday, get out your dancing shoes and an appetite for a chow mein sandwich when the city celebrates the 48th Bobby Justin Day anniversary with a fundraiser.

Justin is a hometown boy who made it big in the music industry in the 1970’s after graduating from B.M.C. Durfee High School. While still a high school senior, Justin made a local name for himself playing at the former Somerset Lodge and his career in music and television.

About to leave on his first Las Vegas gig, then-mayor Wilfred Driscoll declared July 15, 1975 as "Bobby Justin Day."

The event is being held at The Liberal Club on Star Street and begins at 6 p.m.
