4 Places You Can Actually Visit from Netflix's 'Stranger Things'
Season three of Stranger Things hits Netflix on July 4, and like many people, I cannot wait. The show—a sci-fi homage to '80s filmmaking, which follows a group of high school kids as they battle otherworldly creatures—is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. So while you may not be able to totally immerse yourself where Eleven, Dustin, and the crew hang out, you can make a trip to Georgia and visit a few places where the series has filmed (check out even more on Local Adventurer). Hawkins Middle School

We spend a lot of time getting to know the characters at Hawkins Middle, whether we're watching them plot on how their going to save the world or strut down the hall in their Ghostbusters costumes.
Come on, how cool would it be to go to a school that doubles as the set of a famous show? Well, the kids attending Stockbridge Elementary and High School do. For the past two seasons, this is where Dustin, Lucas, Will and Mike have attended school in the show.
Bradley's Big Guy
506 Center St, Palmetto, GA 30268
You may or may not remember this location, but after I recap this scene you will. (Spoiler alert!) This is the store where Eleven goes and steals an armful of frozen Eggo waffles.
Hawk Theater
2 Oak St, Jackson, GA 30233
There have been some notable moments at the Hawk Theater, like when Nancy saw the cruel things that had been written about her on the screening sign in season one. But what we know to be the Hawk Theater is actually a Tavern in real life. Bradley's Olde Tavern looks nothing like the theater in the show, but it's a great place to snag fried cheesecake—and maybe some hot gossip on what it was like when the crew was around, if anyone's willing to talk.
Scoops Ahoy
In season three, we're introduced to Steve Harrington's new job: serving ice cream in the mall at a parlor called Scoops Ahoy. The shop doesn't exist IRL, sadly, but for a limited time this summer, it kind of does. Baskin-Robbins designed a pop-up shop in Burbank, California, and stores nationwide are featuring special treats inspired by the show, like an ice cream-and-frozen-lemonade combo known as Elevenade.
