At the last Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift made history by taking home a fourth Album of the Year trophy. In doing so, she became the recording artist with the most wins in the category ever, breaking her tie with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. Such an impressive feat is unlikely to be repeated anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other records that could be broken in the general field in the foreseeable future.

Most Song of the Year wins
To date, no songwriter has won the Grammy for Song of the Year three times. That said, there are a lot of songwriters who easily could. The best bet might be the sibling duo of Billie Eilish and Finneas, who have taken this award twice, for “Bad Guy” and “What Was I Made For?” Eilish is rumored to be dropping new music soon, so there’s a chance that it’ll be good enough for voters to award her again.

The record could also be broken by Bruno Mars, who accumulated two wins for his hits “That’s What I Like” and “Leave The Door Open.” While there hasn’t been any update on Mars, one would think he’d be dropping music rather soon since it’s been more than two years since “An Evening with Silk Sonic.” Last but certainly not least is Adele, who was likely very close to winning a third with “Easy On Me” in 2023. Adele previously won with “Rolling in the Deep” and “Hello” and is sure to be competitive again just given how much the Grammys love her.

Most Record of the Year wins
Bruno Mars’s next album will also be an important one because Mars could also set a new record for Record of the Year. The R&B/pop superstar is currently tied with Paul Simon as the artist with the most wins in the category, with three each. Mars has so far won with his hits “Uptown Funk,” “24k Magic” and the aforementioned “Leave the Door Open.”

First to win all six general field awards
In case you forgot, the general field is now six awards instead of four; the academy added Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, so that the entire academy could vote for them. No one has won six or even five of those awards, but some people do have four. However, artists like Billie Eilish and Adele are unlikely to win the Producer and Songwriter categories, considering you have to regularly produce and write for other artists in order to be eligible. Likewise, four-category winner Finneas is officially out of the running since he lost Best New Artist.

However, there is one viable option: Jack Antonoff. He won Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his work with the band Fun, as well as Producer of the Year three times and Album of the Year three times for his work with Taylor Swift. So he is only missing two wins: Record of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. The former might be easy to get, as Antonoff’s profile and career trajectory point to a win there eventually. And for the latter, all he would have to do is submit himself as a songwriter instead of producer, since he does both.

Youngest Best New Artist winner ever
LeAnn Rimes currently holds the record for the youngest person to ever win Best New Artist, at just 14 years old. While her record has stood for decades, it is not an impossible one to break. With the rise of social media, singers are starting to get famous younger and younger. Consider how stars like Lorde, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo won their first Grammys as teens in the past decade. As such, don’t be surprised if a young’un pops off from TikTok and makes it all the way to the Grammy stage before turning 14.
