How Did You Spend Your Prize Money? “I put it into Perilla, my first restaurant.”

Fondest Top Chef Memory: “Well, winning was pretty cool. Some of the relationships I made on the show are pretty special and I still think fondly of a lot of the people that I met through that experience.”

Most Hated Challenge: “Trying to cook out of a convenience store. That one was pretty difficult for me to get behind.”

Winner You’re Glad Didn’t Compete in Your Season: “There are a lot of them. Michael Voltaggio, Paul Qui. Those two guys probably stand out the most to me, just talking to them and seeing what they’re doing.”

What You Learned From the Show That You Still Use Today: “Roll with the punches. And try not to say anything too stupid.
