'The Goldbergs' Sneak Peek: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like... Super Hanukkah

Beverly Goldberg is having a blue Christmas. Or is it Hanukkah? Because we’re not sure. On the upcoming Goldbergs episode “A Christmas Story,” the 1980-something mom (Wendi McLendon-Covey) is going crazy for Christmas, except her family is Jewish. And, of course, like everything this enthusiastic smother does, it’s a bit over the top.

In this exclusive sneak peek clip from the holiday–themed episode, The Goldbergs matriarch is trying to get her family into the Hanukkah spirit by decorating a Hanukkah bush, hanging stockings (er, we mean Hanukkah socks) by the chimney with care, and serving up mugs of Hanunog. Sure it all seems awfully familiar, but you have to give Beverly props for her supersized holiday spirit. (And for all of that blue and silver tinsel!) Now, if Santa would just put on some pants…

The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8:30 pm. on ABC.
