The South Shore and nearby towns will be filled with live music at venues big and small.

This week's highlights include Leo Kottke and Lyle Lovett at Lexington’s Cary Hall on Thursday night, and country superstars Lady A bring their music to MGM Music Hall near Fenway Park in Boston on Friday. On Saturday, Hanover’s Aldous Collins Band serves as the opening act for country singer Tyler Hubbard, of Florida Georgia Line fame, at The House of Blues on Lansdowne Street in Boston.

THURSDAY, Oct. 19, includes a costumed Grateful Dead tribute party and show

Songsmith Lauren Daigle at Agganis Arena in Boston. Sissy Castrogiovanni & the Sicilian Jazz Experience at Berklee Performance Center in Boston. The Wonder Years rock Big Night Live in Boston. Uncle John’s Banjo party at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke. It's a Halloween party and a music show with a band that's a tribute to The Grateful Dead.

Folk singer Lisa Bastoni at The Spire Center in Plymouth. Don Broco and the Home Team at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston. Americana kings The Jayhawks open two nights at City Winery in Boston (both sold out). Rawayana, reggae from Venezuela, at Brighton Music Hall. Road trip: Kottke and Lovett at Lexington’s Cary Hall.

FRIDAY, Oct. 20 – First of two nights of a multiband showcase in Hull

Austin-via-Maine songwriter Slaid Cleaves at The Spire Center in Plymouth. Melt jams at Royale. Vineyard funksters Entrain at The Narrows Center in Fall River. Lady A’s country at MGM Music Hall in Boston. The Eagles Experience – a tribute to you-know-who – at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke.

It’s Wreck-A-Ween, a two-night multiband showcase for Wreckless Records, at The C-Note in Hull. Faye Webster performs at Roadrunner in Boston. Indie rockers Mo Lowda get down at The Sinclair in Cambridge. Willy Porter always worth a trip to Club Passim in Cambridge. Acoustic bluesman Guy Davis is at the Theodore Parker U.U. Church in West Roxbury. Vapors of Morphine at Boston Harbor Distillery. The Teskey Brothers harmonize at The House of Blues in Boston.

SATURDAY − Blues guitarist Ronnie Earl is in Plymouth

The inimitable Lucinda Williams is at The Orpheum Theatre in Boston with a night of songs and stories. Blues/jazz/soul guitarist Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters heat up The Spire Center in Plymouth. (Last year’s excellent “Mercy Me” was his 28th album as a leader.) Americana songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov opens a two-nighter at Roadrunner in Boston, with The Milk Carton Kids opening. Alastair Moock at the Rose Garden Coffeehouse in Mansfield. Neil Frances rocks The Paradise Rock Club in Boston. Rock ‘n’ soulman Jeffrey Gaines at The Fallout Shelter in Norwood.

Hubbard tops the bill at The House of Blues in Boston, with Hanover’s Aldous Collins Band opening. Blüfish offers yacht rock at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke. Jamie Walker and Friends at Boston Harbor Distillery.

SUNDAY AND BEYOND − Gospel star Amy Grant is coming to the South Shore

Indie rock quartet The Brook and The Bluff at Royale in Boston on Sunday night; Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country takes over The Sinclair in Cambridge; and the duo known as Frenship plays Brighton Music Hall in Boston. Monday, The Del Water Gap opens two nights at Royale in Boston; rock quartet Armor for Sleep hits The Paradise Rock Club in Boston. On Tuesday, My Morning Jacket hits Roadrunner in Boston; Squirrel Flower performs at Brighton Music Hall in Boston. Wednesday is busy with Hiss Golden Messenger at The Sinclair in Cambridge; Eric Hutchinson sings at The Narrows Center in Fall River; Teton Gravity Research envelops The Paradise Rock Club; and Charlotte Cardin’s pop is at the Brighton Music Hall. Oct. 26: South Shore studio wiz Joe Merrick is at The Spire Center in Plymouth; Canadian bluesman Matt Andersen plays The Narrows Center; and pop/gospel star Amy Grant performs at Plymouth Memorial Hall.
