'Better Call Saul Sneak Peek: Jimmy Confronts Chuck

So far, Chuck McGill has pretty clearly been the bad guy in his tension-filled relationship with brother Jimmy. But something happens in Monday’s “Gloves Off” episode of Better Call Saul that may earn stuffy Chuck a sliver of sympathy.

No specific spoilers, but suffice it to say that Jimmy’s recent TV commercial project negatively impacts fellow attorney and girlfriend Kim. When he confronts Chuck about it in the clip above, big bro drops some truth bombs that Jimmy can ignore, only at his peril.

“That’s your problem, Jimmy, thinking the ends justify the means,” Chuck says. “And you’re forever shocked when it all blows up in your face… you broke the rules. You turned Kim into your accessory, you embarrassed Howard, who, God help him, inexplicably vouched for you with Cliff Main, you made Cliff and his partners look like schmucks… shall I go on?”

Chuck does.

“You’re my brother, and I love you, but you’re like an alcoholic who refuses to admit he’s got a problem,” he tells Jimmy. “Now someone’s given you the keys to the school bus, and I’m not gonna let you drive it off a cliff.”

Better Call Saul airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on AMC.
