321 Flavor Bites: Celebrating mom-and-pop places, great wine lists and pulled pork
I love breakfast at Rockledge Diner.
It's cozy and friendly, a true mom-and-pop place. The eggs are perfect, and so are the biscuits. I recently got to talk with owners Cisha and John Feather about what happens when a health crisis strikes in the family and neither Mom nor Pop can make it to work.
Rockledge Diner was closed for half of September after the Feathers' young son got sick. Luckily, he's on the mend. Here's a link to their story.
Tripadvisor names Florida Fresh Grill to Best Everyday Eats list
Those of us who live on the Space Coast have known and loved Florida Fresh Grill for years. Now the rest of the world has discovered it.
The Cocoa Beach restaurant recently was named as one of Tripadvisor's Best of the Best. Check out my story to find out more about how that designation happened.

Seafood Fest at Field Manor
Have you been to Field Manor on Merritt Island? Seriously? Why not? It's a really cool historic home on the Indian River. It's a piece of our farming history.

What's going on at 4th Street Fillin Station?
ICYMI: 4th Street Fillin Station in Cocoa Beach is closed. But don't worry. It's temporary.
They're remodeling the restaurant's kitchen.
"You guys might not know this, but the 4th Street kitchen is only 11’ x 13’, and we pump some serious volume out of it!" a post on the 4th Street Facebook page says. "The new kitchen will be 30’ x 33’ which means more space, more equipment, more kitchen staff, bigger entrees and faster food coming out of the kitchen. Have patience, it will be worth the wait!"
The restaurant is supposed to reopen on Friday.
National Pulled Pork Day at Sonny's, and all the other food
Thursday is National Pulled Pork Day, and to celebrate, Sonny's BBQ is offering a discount on its Pulled Pork Big Deal. Guests can purchase a pulled pork sandwich, one sidekick and one soft drink for $5.50.
Brevard County's Sonny's locations are at 150 Sheriff Drive, Melbourne; 1020 Malabar Road SE, Palm Pay; 2900 Cheney Highway, Titusville; and 310 N. Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island.
