3 hospitalized after shooting outside of a Sikh temple in California, police say

Authorities were alerted about the incident at 6:42 p.m. and found three people with injuries upon arriving near Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple. The individuals were hospitalized with what police called "non-life-threatening injuries."

The victims and suspects are Sikh, according to SPD.

The temple said in a press release that the shooting is not believed to be connected to the place of worship. It added that it did not take place on the property of the Sikh Temple nor was it related to a weightlifting event that was held at the time.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and did not release additional information about the incident.
