3 easy crostini appetizers to make for a party

Crostini are the perfect appetizer for any occasion and the possibilities for toppings are endless. Today's episode of Best Bites offers three options that are simple and sophisticated.

Smoked Salmon Crostini

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette sliced into 1/4"

  • olive oil

  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt

  • 6 tablespoons cream cheese

  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 4 ounces smoked salmon

  • capers (for garnish)

  • chopped red onion (for garnish)

  • fresh dill (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Drizzle baguette slices with olive oil and toast in the oven at 400° F for 8-10 minutes.

  2. Combine lemon juice, Greek yogurt and cream cheese in a small bowl.

  3. Assemble crostini: Top baguette slices with smoked salmon, 1 teaspoon yogurt mixture, red onion, capers and fresh dill.

Prosciutto Crostini

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette sliced into 1/4"

  • olive oil

  • 4 ounces prosciutto

  • 1/2 pint of ricotta cheese

  • small bunch of basil

  • figs

Instructions:

  1. Drizzle baguette slices with olive oil and toast in the oven at 400° F for 8-10 minutes.

  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of ricotta on each baguette slice and top with prosciutto, half of a fig and fresh basil.

Camembert and Pear Crostini

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette sliced into 1/4"

  • olive oil

  • 1 wheel of camembert cheese

  • 3 pears, cored and thinly sliced

  • black pepper

  • honey for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Drizzle baguette slices with olive oil and toast in the oven at 400° F for 8-10 minutes.

  2. Spread 1 ounce of camembert cheese on a baguette slice.

  3. Top with 2 slices of pear and drizzle with honey and black pepper.
