1. True Detective: Night Country
True Detective finally returns with a fourth season, and let me just say, it's definitely my favorite since the award-winning first season. Set in Alaska, this new season kicks off after eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station suddenly vanish without a trace. Now, Det. Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster ) and Det. Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) must confront their own past and trauma to figure out "the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice."

2. Abbott Elementary Season 3
Abbott Elementary finally returns with Season 3 this February, and is kicking off this new season with an hour-long episode. Last time we left our favorite teachers from Abbott Elementary, they had just ventured to the Franklin Institute for an overnight field trip. Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler William James) also confessed their feelings for each other, but decided to just remain friends. Now, it's a whole new year, and who knows what everyone is going to get up to now.
When it returns: Feb. 7 on ABC

The second installment in Ryan Murphy's Feud anthology series, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans is based on the bestselling book Capote's Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era . The new season follows acclaimed writer Truman Capote (Tom Hollander), who has surrounded himself with society's most elite women, namely rich socialites, aka The Swans, who have defined a bygone era of high society in NYC. Capote effortlessly integrated himself into their lives, befriending them, only to betray them by writing thinly veiled fictionalizations of their lives as he exposed their intimate secrets. After portions of his latest book are published, it destroys his relationship with the women, and self-destruction ensues as everyone tries to tightly grip to the high society lifestyles they've grown accustomed to.

4. Griselda
In her first starring role since Modern Family , Sofía Vergara stars as Griselda Blanco, a devoted mother who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. Blanco's lethal blend of unsuspecting savagery and charm helped her create one of the most lucrative businesses and earned her the nickname "the Godmother." In real life, Blanco was a Colombian cocaine trafficker, who created a huge empire in Miami during the '70s and '80s, a story which this new limited series will explore.

5. Masters of the Air
Based on the novel of the same name and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, aka the team behind Band of Brothers , this new limited series tells the story of the men of the 100th Bomb Group. Known as the "Bloody Hundredth," they conducted perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany as they dealt with frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and terror all while up 25,000 feet in the air. Masters of the Air details the harrowing moments from these young men as they paid the psychological and emotional price as they helped destroy Hitler's Third Reich.

6. The Regime
Following her award-winning turn in Mare of Easttown , Kate Winslet returns to HBO in this six-episode limited series. The Regime is set to follow one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel. The series is written by Will Tracy, who wrote The Menu and episodes of Succession , and directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs, who recently worked on A Very English Scandal and The Crown respectively.

7. Ghosts Season 3
Ghosts returns with Season 3 in February, and I simply cannot wait. Last season ended on quite the cliffhanger as Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) sat in their car outside Woodstone, only to see a ghost inside seemingly get "sucked off." Now, I hope it's not one of our beloved ghosts, but you never know.
When it returns: Feb. 15 on CBS
Bertrand Calmeau / CBS 8. Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12
Larry David brings the final season of his beloved and hilarious comedy series to HBO this winter when Curb Your Enthusiasm says its last farewell. Season 12 will continue to follow Larry as it details his day-to-day life and how it can lead to, well, a catastrophic chain of events. Not much is known about the actual plot of the final season just yet, but we know this, Larry is sure to go out on top.
When it returns: Feb. 4 on HBO and Max
John P. Johnson / HBO 9. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action reimagining of the beloved Nickelodeon animated series. Aang (Gordon Cormier), a young Air Nomad — and the last of his kind — is suddenly reawakened when Sokka (Ian Ousley) and Katara (Kiawentiio) come across him. Now, Aang, the current Avatar, embarks on an action-packed adventure alongside his new friends in order to master all four elements and put an end to Fire Lord Ozai's (Daniel Dae Kim) reign of terror. Alongside our main characters, the live-action show will also feature appearances from fan-favorite characters from the animated series, like Utkarsh Ambudkar as King Bumi and even original voice actor James Sie reprising his role as the beloved Cabbage Merchant.

10. Echo
The first in Marvel's new Spotlight series , which is set to highlight characters in "character driven limited series," Echo follows Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) after the events of Hawkeye . Maya returns to her hometown in Oklahoma after her encounter with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio). Now, set on taking down Fisk's organization, Maya must come to terms with her past. It's an easy binge watch and puts Maya perfectly in the leading character role as the show also explores her Native American roots and the importance of embracing family and community.

11. Chicago Med Season 9, Chicago Fire Season 12, and Chicago P.D. Season 11
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. all return with brand-new episodes this winter as they kick off their respective seasons. Some important news to know is Taylor Kinney, aka Kelly Severide, will return for Season 12 of Chicago Fire , Kara Killmer, who plays Sylvie Brett, will be exiting Chicago Fire at some point this season, and Chicago P.D. Season 11 will mark the final season with Tracy Spiridakos as Hailey Upton.

Adrian S Burrows Sr / NBC 12. Law & Order Season 23, Law & Order: SVU Season 25, and Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4
Like the Chicago shows, all of the Law & Order universe shows — Law & Order, SVU , and Organized Crime — will be returning with new episodes in January. The biggest news to note for these shows is Kelli Giddish, aka Det. Amanda Rollins, will be in the premiere of Season 25 of Law & Order: SVU . Otherwise, it's pretty much the same old, same old on these iconic shows with new cases each week and the same characters we all love.

Peter Kramer / NBC 13. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira FINALLY return to The Walking Dead universe in this new spin-off series. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live picks up where Michonne's story on the original series left off, with her deciding to venture off on her own in search of Rick after believing that he was dead. Meanwhile, Rick has been captured by the Civic Republic Military (CRM) and will do everything he can to break free and reunite with Michonne and his family.

14. Death and Other Details
Death and Other Details follows Imogene Scott (Violett Beane), who finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and becomes the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery set amongst the elite who are traveling on a lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner. Now, everyone from the pampered guests to the very exhausted crew are suspects as Imogene partners with a man she despises, Rufus Coteworth (Mandy Patinkin), the world's greatest detective, in an attempt to solve the case.

From there, they go their separate ways, but each year we see where they are in their lives on this seemingly ordinary day. Each episode will show Em and Dex one year older as they grow, change, move together, move apart, and everything else. The story was previously adapted into the 2011 movie starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, too.

16. Shōgun

17. Hazbin Hotel
Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie (Erika Henningsen), the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible task of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will, well, be checking out into Heaven. This adult animated musical comedy is super fun and definitely a great one to check out this year, especially if you're a Broadway fan.

Created for TV by Lulu Wang, who recently directed and wrote The Farewell , and based on the novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Friendships, marriages, deaths, and more are all played out as a chain of life-altering events leaves everyone navigating between the balance of blame and accountability.

24. The Woman in the Wall

29. And finally, Wild Cards

While Max is arrested and being held at the station, she helps Cole solve a local crime. Now, the duo are offered the chance to redeem themselves by working together and using their unique set of skills to solve crimes.
