26 Years After the Premiere, Here Are the Stars of ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ Now
Twenty-six years ago today, October 4th, 1990, the first episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 aired on Fox, and … no one really cared. The series struggled to find an audience, until the network aired a special “summer season” in 1991 that featured dreamy Brandon Walsh working at a beach club. Everything clicked, and the show caught like wildfire.
Ten seasons, 293 episodes, 10 TV specials, two spinoffs, and two reboots later, Beverly Hills, 90210 finally put the struggling, little (richest) community in America on the map. Let’s take a look at where the hunks and babes of West Beverly Hills High are now…
Jason Priestley, “Brandon Walsh”
The Canadian actor has had a steady career in TV since 90210 wrapped in 2000, and he’s playing an ex-hockey player (how Canadian) turned detective in the procedural drama Private Eyes.
Shannen Doherty, “Brenda Walsh”
After leaving 90210 in 1994, Doherty found new success in the witchy drama Charmed from 1998 to 2006. Recently, she costarred with Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover in the boxing feature, Back in the Day. She’s been in fans’ thoughts much recently, as she documents her cancer battle on social media.
Jennie Garth, “Kelly Taylor”
Garth has been on the TV movie circuit ever since her 90210 days, and she most recently starred in Karen Kingsbury’s A Time to Dance on The Hallmark Channel.
Ian Ziering, “Steve Sanders”
Ziering stars in SyFy’s tongue-in-cheek, sharks-meet-tornadoes schlockfest movie franchise, Sharknado. He plays a surfer or something, I don’t know, he’s killing a flying shark with a chainsaw, do you really care what he plays?
Luke Perry, “Dylan McKay”
Perry is going back to his roots in The CW’s Riverdale, an update on the old Archie Comics that sounds more like 90210 than the source material. Perry will play Archie’s father, Fred Andrews, in the 2017 series.
Brian Austin Green, “David Silver”
His on-again, off-again engagement to actress Megan Fox kept Green in the tabloids, but Charlie Sheen kept him working on FX’s Anger Management.
Tori Spelling, “Donna Martin”
We may never know how executive producer Aaron Spelling’s daughter got cast in 90210, but we do know that Spelling will do anything to stay in the limelight, including starring in James Franco’s unnecessary remake (but with vampires) of Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?
