’25’: Tom Maden Cast As A Lead In CBS Comedy Pilot

Scream alum Tom Maden is set as a lead opposite Matt Shively and Emily Osment in CBS’ hybrid comedy pilot 25.

Written by Hilary Winston and directed by Chris Koch, 25 centers on twentysomething Kyle (Shively), who comes to Austin to finally convince his old best friend from camp, Kate (Osment), that they are perfect for each other. Unfortunately, she just got engaged. A lot of guys would give up; Kyle is not one of those guys. But to Kyle’s surprise, even though he came to town looking for “the one,” he might end up with much more than that.

Maden will play Jimmy, Kate’s long-term boyfriend. Sincere and genuinely nice, Jimmy just proposed to Kate — just as Kyle walked onto the scene. Jimmy welcomes Kyle to town with open arms, unaware that Kyle is angling to steal his fiancée away from him.

Denée Benton and Jessie Ennis co-star in the pilot.

Winston and Koch executive produce alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver for Sony Pictures TV and CBS TV Studios.

Maden played Jake Fitzgerald in MTV’s Scream and recurs on Freeform’s Famous in Love and Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. He also will be seen in Hulu’s limited series All Night, which will launch later this year. He previously recurred on Parenthood. Maden is repped by Innovative Artists and LINK Entertainment.
