This February, a new day dawns for Fox’s venerable action franchise, 24. And with that new day comes a new hero: Former Army Ranger Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins) assumes the 24-hour job of keeping America safe from terror, a weight that used to rest solely on the shoulders of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). Based on this just-released teaser poster, Carter is suited up and ready for the job.

That’s a good thing too, because he’s going to need all his military training to survive being targeted by members of a terrorist cell whose leader was taken out by Carter and his squad in a top-secret operation. With his fellow soldiers already executed, Carter goes on the run, his only ally being Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto), the ex-CTU head and spouse of John Donovan (Jimmy Smits), a U.S. senator looking to make the Oval Office his new digs.

If you want to see Carter in action, check out the previously released trailer for 24: Legacy, which has racked up an impressive 22 million online views so far.

And in case you had any lingering doubts, the signature ticking clock sound and split-screen visual makes it abundantly clear that even though this is a new day for 24, it’s still the same show that fans know and love.

24: Legacy premieres after the Super Bowl on Feb. 5 on Fox.
