RH23: I feel awful for Bradley.

Flickchick: I actually love Cooper but he doesn’t deserve to win for this movie. He needs to stop directing vanity projects designed for Oscars.

Annette Bening, “Nyad”
X – Lily Gladstone, “Killers of the Flower Moon”
Sandra Hüller, “Anatomy of a Fall”
Greta Lee, “Past Lives”
Carey Mulligan, “Maestro”

Atypical: Major moment for Lily Gladstone. Congrats on her historic win.

ejaru1810: Meh, Sandra deserved.

Best Comedy/Musical Film
“Air”
“American Fiction”
“Barbie”
“The Holdovers”
“May December”
X – “Poor Things”

Aint2Proud2Beg: What??

Batmanforever: “Barbie” is dead.

Lucas: Yassss. Go home Mattel!

lhdang2000: They reaaaaallyyyyyy didn’t like “Barbie.” I think this is the first sign of the film’s potential struggle with European voters.

kamila: “Poor Things” needed tonight. It had been treated as fourth fiddle in the Best Picture race and now it’s proven itself as an all around player.

Best Comedy/Musical Actor
Nicolas Cage, “Dream Scenario”
Timothée Chalamet, “Wonka”
Matt Damon, “Air”
X – Paul Giamatti, “The Holdovers”
Joaquin Phoenix, “Beau Is Afraid”

Robert De Niro, “Killers of the Flower Moon”
X – Robert Downey Jr., “Oppenheimer”
Ryan Gosling, “Barbie”

Mary: I KNEW IT!! LETS GOOOOO.

Moviebuff22: Yeah, this is going to be a boring awards season.

Batmanforever: At least it’s not Ryan Gosling.

Aint2Proud2Beg: DUH!!!

Best Director
Bradley Cooper, “Maestro”
Greta Gerwig, “Barbie”
Yorgos Lanthimos, “Poor Things”
X – Christopher Nolan, “Oppenheimer”
Martin Scorsese, “Killers of the Flower Moon”
Celine Song, “Past Lives”

Joe Burns: Disappointed “Poor Things” didn’t win. Tony McNamara deserves revenge for losing for “The Favourite” five years ago.

Lucas: Not a fan of “Anatomy,” but I love the chaos! And “Barbie” did not deserve to win.

RH23: Why couldn’t they just give it to “Oppenheimer” or “KOTFM”?

wolfali: FINALLY AN UPSET (and a richly deserving one at that).

Best Score
“The Boy and the Heron”

X – “The Boy and the Heron”
“Elemental”
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”
“The Super Mario Bros. Movie”

RH23: “Past Lives” should at least have won this award. The film was brilliant.

Atypical: France really blew its submission this year.

Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement
X – “Barbie”
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”
“John Wick: Chapter 4”
“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One”

“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”
