2024 Daytime Emmys Nominees for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series – Surprising Shut Out

The nominees for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for the 2024 Daytime Emmys have been announced. Surprisingly, one soap opera has been shut out entirely while another soap dominates the category with three nominations.

Five Nominees for Lead Actor

Extra! broke the news that the nominees for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series are: Eric Braeden (Victor, The Young and the Restless), Eric Martsolf (Brady, Days of our Lives), and from The Bold and the Beautiful — Thorsten Kaye (Ridge), John McCook (Eric), and Scott Clifton (Liam).

Surprisingly, the list doesn’t include any actors from General Hospital. Maurice Benard has won three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal of Sonny Corinthos.

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards air Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+.
