Box office smashes “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie” will once again dominate another televised awards show at the upcoming 29th Critics Choice Awards, where the popular pictures will together score 13 of the 21 awards. “Oppenheimer” has “Barbie” beat by one according to our official odds, which predict it will win seven trophies including Best Picture. It is anticipated to repeat most of its Golden Globes successes, too, with victories for director Christopher Nolan, supporting actor Robert Downey Jr. and for its score. Scroll down for our complete Critics Choice Film predictions organized by film.

“Barbie” looks to outperform its Golden Globes haul of two — it took home Best Song and Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement at that ceremony — in part because Critics Choice offers many more categories. In addition to a repeat victory for song “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, “Barbie” will take home five other trophies; one of those will be for Best Original Screenplay, even though the Oscars have deemed the script by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach eligible in the adapted category.

Other movies that will take home multiple trophies include “Maestro,” “Poor Things,” and “The Holdovers.” Those include victories for Emma Stone and Da’Vine Joy Randolph and a rematch of Bradley Cooper and Cillian Murphy; while Murphy pulled off the Globes victory, a majority of our Experts and Editors stick with Cooper for the victory here. These official odds for the Critics Choice Awards are derived from the predictions of our Experts, Editors, Top 24 Users, All-Star Top 24, and all our Users who make up the largest and often savviest bloc of predictors.
