Whether you’re a die-hard tennis fanatic or novice sports observer, the 2023 U.S. Open is packed with must-watch moments. The championship continues at Flushing Meadows in Queens, N.Y., on Friday (Sept. 8) following Coco Gauff’s historic win a day earlier.

Gauff, 19, advanced to the women’s finals after defeating Karolina Muchova in a semifinals match on Thursday. With her U.S. Open victory, Gauff has become the youngest American semifinalist since Serena Williams. The teen is set to face Aryna Sabalenka in the Grand Slam final on Saturday.

Carlos Alcaraz, also 19, will face Daniil Medvedev in the men’s semifinals on Friday. Alcaraz advanced to the semifinals after defeating Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals.

Ben Shelton, another rising star at this year’s U.S. Open, will take on veteran tennis player, Novak Djokovic, on Friday. Shelton, 20, defeated Frances Tiafoe to become the youngest male tennis player to advance to the men’s U.S. Open semifinal since 1992.

How long is the U.S. Open? The event launched on Aug. 28 and ends on Sept. 10.

Day matches, held at Louis Armstrong Stadium and Grandstand, begin at 11 a.m ET. Matches held at Arthur Ashe Stadium begin at noon. Night rounds start at 7 p.m. ET.
