Daytona 500 Postponed Due to Rain: Where to Watch & Stream the NASCAR Race for Free

Due to rain, the 2024 Daytona 500 will now take place on Monday, Feb. (19) at 4:00 p.m. ET, NASCAR announced on Sunday.

Pitbull was slated to perform during the pre-race show. The performance was canceled because of the weather, but Mr. Worldwide has agreed to perform next year. “I will be here 2025,” he told Daytona International Speedway track president Frank Kelleher on Sunday.

The multi-platinum selling rapper became a co-owner of the Trackhouse racing team in 2021. Trackhouse racers will be participating in this year’s Daytona 500.

“They don’t work for me, we work together,” Pitbull said during FS1’s NASCAR Race Day on Sunday.

“To be able to do what we’ve done in the last three years is not only history in the making, but the true tale of true underdogs that nobody believed in.”

DJ Khaled will be the honorary starter for Daytona 500, The Rock is Grand Marshall and Madison Marsh, the new Miss America, is the honorary pace car driver.

Daytona 500 Schedule: When & How to Watch Without Cable

For the first time ever, fans will get to witness a “Monday doubleheader at Daytona International Speedway,” NASCAR posted on X on Sunday.

Despite the date change, the broadcast channel remains the same: Daytona 500 will air live on Fox at 4:00 p.m. ET on Monday.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals race is scheduled for Monday at 11 a.m. ET on FS1 (fans can listen live Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). In addition to Fox, the Daytona 500 will be available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Viewers who already have local channels through cable, satellite, internet or a digital antenna have the option of watching the race as soon as it starts or tuning in earlier for the pre-game festivities.

The 2024 Nascar Cup Series Schedule kicked off earlier this month with the Busch Light Clash on Feb. 3, while the Duel at Daytona was scheduled for Thursday (Feb. 15).

In addition to the rain delaying the race, NASCAR revealed that activations, Q&A’s and other festivities within the Hard Rock Bet Fanzone and Midway are currently canceled. However, fans with tickets to the Hard Rock Bet Fanzone can attend the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race and the Daytona 500.

United Rentals 300 ticketholders have priority seating until the NASCAR Xfinity Series race ends. Fans who don’t have tickets will be able to sit in seats that are not occupied by ticketholders.
