The stars were shining at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, which took place live on Sunday, November 19. For the first time ever, the event was streamed on Billboard’s website and social media channels, as opposed to airing on a traditional broadcast TV network. As a reminder, the eligibility period for this year’s kudos ran from November 19, 2022 to October 21, 2023.
When the nominations in 71 categories were announced on October 26, pop culture icon Taylor Swift came away with a leading 20 bids. She is joined in the Top Artist category by fellow A-listers Luke Combs , Drake, SZA and Morgan Wallen. Some of the superstars who performed at the event were David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, Karol G, Peso Pluma, Stray Kids and Tate McRae.
