ZAC PALMER: So right behind me is the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. We're going to take a quick look at the storage solutions inside this electric pickup. So, obviously, this big giant hood is open with the frunk, gives you a 14.1-cubic-foot loading space.

That's as big as some smaller hatchbacks' cargo area just here in the front. And one thing I really like about it is how convenient it is to load things in and out. Instead of cutting off, say, at the hood, the whole grille opens like that, and then you can just slide stuff in easily and out.

So some of the smaller features in here as you get in and explore, you have a flap here you can open up with even more storage underneath. This whole thing is waterproof so you can toss ice in there, throw some beverages if you're tailgating, super convenient. And then when you look over here, you have some outlets, so 120-volt, 2.4 kilowatt. You're going to find four different places to plug something in, be it a refrigerator, whatever you want. And then you also have a USB-C and a USB-A outlet for some phone charging if you're going to have your phone up here.

All right, so now that we're around back, let's check out the bed. You open it by a little button right here. It powers on down. Pretty big bed, just like a normal F-150, but we also have the PowerBoost option.

So you'll see a bunch of plugs in here. Just like the front, you have some that are the 2.4-kilowatt variety. But the killer one is this 7.2-kilowatt 240 volt that you can plug in, and it allows the truck to act as a generator, can even power your home if you have all of the Power Onboard equipment installed in your house.

One more thing, because this is an F-150, we still get the man step. So push that button, that pulls out, then you also have your handle. Put it there, easy step on up into the truck, just like any other F-150.
