ASHEVILLE - Painted pastel-colored eggs aren’t the only things people will be hunting for on Easter, April 17.

Diners will be hopping across town searching for steak and eggs, eggs benedicts and other brunch favorites to enjoy while surrounded by family, friends and neighbors.

Many Asheville restaurants are offering regular brunch services this Sunday, but several have gone the extra step to curate special menus for the occasion.

Easter Day is one of the most popular brunch holidays of the year, so spring into action and make plans now. Here are some of the local eateries offering Easter brunch specials from prix fixe course menus to takeout.

Buxton Hall BBQ

Buxton Hall BBQ will serve Easter Brunch from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. April 17. The entrée special includes a brisket biscuit and a side item for $17 and catfish and grits made with cornmeal breaded and fried catfish and Farm & Sparrow grits for $18. The dessert is a brioche bun with lemon curd and strawberry filling for $8. Top it off with the Air Japan cocktail made with Japanese whiskey, calvados, pistachio, fennel and lemon for $13.

Fork Lore

Fork Lore will offer an Easter buffet from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The offerings include asparagus and fennel salad, lemon herb-roasted Joyce Farms chicken, pimento cheese deviled eggs with crispy country ham and icebox lemonade cake.

The cost is $44 per adult, $23 for children ages 6-15 and free for children age 5 and under.

Hemingway’s Cuba

Hemingway’s Cuba will offer an Easter special in addition to its full brunch and dinner menus.

The Easter special will be baked ham, Boursin mac and cheese and broccolini for $35.

The brunch service will run 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and the dinner service will be available 4:30-9 p.m. April 17. To make a reservation, visit hemingwayscuba.com or call 828-417-6866.

Isa's French Bistro

Isa's French Bistro will offer several specials on Easter, in addition to its full brunch and dinner menus.

Carrot cake French toast with cream cheese drizzle will be available for $19 during brunch hours, 7 a.m.-2 p.m.

From 10 a.m.-9 p.m., the featured specials include truffled split pea soup for $12, a Brasstown 6 oz. filet and red ruby shrimp with carrot emulsion and white asparagus for $43, and Hummingbird carrot cake for $12.

Jargon

Jargon will have Easter specials available on its menu.

Save room for the passion fruit carrot cake, a gluten-free dessert that includes passion fruit, carrots, candied nuts, miso caramel and is served with black sesame ice cream.

The Easter cocktail is the What’s Up Doc that’s made with rosemary-serrano-infused mezcal, carrot juice, hibiscus honey and lemon with a tajin-salt rim.

Nani’s Piri Piri Chicken

Nani’s Piri Piri Chicken is offering meals to assemble and reheat at home. Customers have their choice of scratch chicken pot pies or Poultryman’s pies as the entrée and both come with a Caesar salad and ANZAC cookie – a dessert traditionally baked and gifted to Australia New Zealand Army Corps during World War I.

The deadline to order is 8 p.m. April 13. Pickup is available between 2-6 p.m. April 16 at 1 Page Ave., suite 147 in the Grove Arcade. Preorder online at nanischicken.com.

Posana

For one day only, Posana is bringing back brunch on April 17. A special Easter menu will be offered from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost for the meal is $55 per adult and $35 per child.

The menu will begin with doughnut holes or avocado toast followed by three courses with choices of kale salad, chai parfait, French toast, pork belly benedict, Scottish salmon and carrot cake. The Easter cocktail special will be a signature French 75.

Also, Posana introduced its spring collection that includes Zana’s Bad Rap made El Jimador Reposado Tequila, carrot juice, lime juice and simple syrup.

Posana is at 1 Biltmore Ave. Reservations are required and may be made via OpenTable or call 828-505-3969. Posana will not be open for dinner on April 17. For more about Posana, visit posanarestaurant.com.

The Market Place

The Market Place will serve a three-course prix-fixe Easter brunch from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 17 for $45 per person.

The meal will begin with a serving of cinnamon buns and jalapeño biscuits for the table. Then, each dinner will receive their choice of an appetizer and entrée. Options include asparagus soup and pan-roasted crab cakes, steak and eggs, pan-seared Sunburst Trout and roasted porchetta.
