The MTV Movie & TV Awards make their return on the first installment of a two-night event. Hosted by Leslie Jones, Sunday evening’s show takes place at the Hollywood Palladium with a slew of presenters that include TikTok icon Addison Rae, ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ star Anthony Mackie, and ‘In the Heights’ creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Scarlett Johansson is set to receive the Generation Award, celebrating the breadth of her prolific career. Sacha Baron Cohen will also be honored with the Comedic Genius Award, with ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’ nominated for Best Movie. Cohen is also nominated for his performance in ‘Trial of the Chicago 7’ and forms half of a Best Duo nomination with ‘Borat’ breakout star Maria Bakalova.

Other nominees include Carey Mulligan for her performance in ‘Promising Young Woman,’ Elizabeth Olsen for her turn as Wanda Maximoff in the hit Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’ and Regé-Jean Page in Breakthrough Performance for ‘Bridgerton.’ Nominees in more collaborative categories feature Lily Collins and Lucas Bravo for Best Kiss in ‘Emily in Paris’ while Pedro Pascal shares Best Duo recognition with fan favorite Grogu in ‘The Mandalorian.’

The “Outer Banks” cast is making a strong showing on tonight’s red carpet. Madison Bailey boasts a colorful ruffled train while Rudy Pankow and Chase Stokes lean into monochromatic looks, with Pankow in black and Stokes arriving in an eye-catching red suit complete with a mesh top. Bold colors are sure to dominate the carpet tonight, with “Lovecraft Country” star Jurnee Smollet arriving in a satin aqua jumpsuit.
